I joined the Gulu City Marathon 2025 to prove to myself that I couldovercome fear and self-doubt. A year ago, I struggled with confidenceand rarely participated in public activities. Training for the marathonwas not easy — there were days I wanted to quit because of fatigue andbusy work schedules.But every morning run reminded me that growth comes through persistence.

On race day, seeing thousands of people cheering and encouraging oneanother gave me strength. The most emotional moment was crossing thefinish line and realizing that I had achieved something I once thoughtwas impossible, the other special moment was to see the differentculture troops showcasing the gulu culture i was very happy because itwas my first time in gulu , the food too didn't leave me the same and Iwish people really have to visit gulu city.

The Gulu City Marathon became more than a race for me — it became ajourney of self-belief, resilience, and community.
